Two-day “Catamaran” Seminar on 16-17 April, 2022

Two-day seminar dedicated to catamarans, took place last weekend 16-17 April, in Keramoti. Among the attendants were sailors with different experience from Romania, Bulgaria and Greece that came to learn the specific of multihulls and its difference from monohulls – in docking, sailing and equipment.

Started with theoretical part in the classroom, the seminar continued with exploring the equipment and sails on the spot.

Weather was changing during the weekend, becoming a bit challenging with Sunday’s rain, which let the participants understand better the behaviour of multihulls in the sea under various conditions.

Sunday’s highlight was the short voyage to Thassos island with sails open, anchoring in Pachis and returning in Keramoti. Bali models of North Sailing fleet were used during the seminar.

All in all, great company, new knowledge, lots of practice, tips&hints, new friends and of course, Greek “mezes”!
