ISSA Marine VHF Radio Course – Enhance Your Maritime Safety

The ISSA Marine VHF Radio Course is a comprehensive training program that equips you with the skills to operate VHF radios proficiently at sea. This course covers essential topics such as radio procedures and etiquette, emergency protocols, distress calls, as well as how to use VHF radios for navigation, weather updates, and local communication.

Upon completion, participants will gain a deep understanding of VHF radio equipment operation, meeting licensing prerequisites and earning a lifetime certification. Holding a VHF radio certificate is critical for a safe and secure maritime experience. It not only ensures legal operation of marine VHF radios but also mitigates potential complications with yacht charters and significantly enhances safety at sea.

Our course offers convenient online training to help you achieve the GMDSS Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC). This certification, valid for a lifetime, will be mailed to you after successful completion. It affirms your ability to legally operate marine VHF radio systems on non-SOLAS vessels navigating in sea zone A1 within 30 nautical miles.

To secure your certification, participants must:

•Master the theory

•Pass the final examination

•Complete the application process

Once these steps are completed, your ISSA SRC will be sent directly to you.
