The Catamaran Pro Skipper Course under the XIV Bonus Miles Flotilla (25 October – 1 November, Route II: Volos – Keramoti) is an intensive, hands-on program designed for those who wish to work as professional skippers in the yachting industry. It is aimed at skippers who want to build advanced knowledge in catamaran handling, docking, equipment management, and open-sea navigation, while also gaining the certifications needed to take the next step in their careers.

Over six days, participants will practice directly on board, learning how to respond to the everyday challenges of professional skippering, from maneuvering a catamaran in tight harbors to addressing technical issues with modern equipment, all in real open-sea conditions. The program is taught by head instructor Christoforos Gritzelakis together with a team of experienced trainers, ensuring high-level professional guidance throughout.

    This specific educational program offers practical training, allowing participants to gain a deep understanding of how modern technologies can enhance the sailing experience and increase safety and efficiency during navigation. Participants learn how to properly use equipment, identify and fix faults, and make the best possible use of available technological tools for navigation, safety, and comfort while at sea.

    The program focuses on handling and navigating the catamaran, including navigation techniques, anchoring, sail management, and emergency management, along with extensive learning of equipment.

  • What is the route of the Flotilla?

    The XIV Bonus Miles Flotilla offers a unique sailing experience designed to take participants on an exciting journey on Route II, from Volos to Keramoti. As the second route of the XIV edition, it explores some of the most captivating and varied sailing grounds in Northern Greece.

    The flotilla begins in Volos, a vibrant port city steeped in mythology and maritime tradition. From there, we set sail through the emerald waters of the Pagasetic Gulf and head toward the Sporades islands. With stops in destinations like Skiathos, Skopelos, and Alonissos, sailors enjoy a mix of natural beauty, lush green landscapes, and crystal-clear anchorages.

    Continuing east, the route takes us to Skyros, an island known for its wild terrain and distinct character. From there, we cross into the North Aegean, reaching the historic island of Limnos, where volcanic landscapes meet timeless villages and sheltered bays.

    The journey continues to Samothrace, an island of raw beauty and spiritual heritage, famous for its waterfalls, ancient ruins, and rugged coastline. It’s a rare opportunity to explore a destination that combines natural wonder with deep historical roots.

    The final stretch leads us to Keramoti, Kavala quiet seaside town on the Thracian coast, where the Aegean meets the wild beauty of Northern Greece. With its peaceful harbor, rich ecosystems, and welcoming atmosphere, Keramoti provides a perfect end to this unforgettable adventure.
