For those aiming for higher levels, the Racing Section offers training in competitive sailing, allowing participants to develop advanced techniques and strategies.

In addition to the core sections, the school offers the opportunity to participate in seminars led by experienced professionals, enriching both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in specialized areas. The sailing school boasts a large fleet of modern vessels, ranging from sports boats to catamarans, all fully equipped with the latest technology, ensuring both safety and a high-quality learning experience.

The sailing schools organize excursions, including flotilla trips and boat transfers across Greece, offering participants the chance to experience teamwork and adventure in real sailing environments. The Sailing Academy  is located in Keramoti, Kavala, an area known for its diverse landscape, making it ideal for sailing. The natural conditions of  the Easter Macedonia & Thrace region  provide the perfect setting to learn and practice the art of sailing,also in  Fanari,Rhodope & Porto Lagos,Xanthi.

The Sailing Academy  offering you the flexibility to tailor your training to your own schedule. This allows you to choose the dates that suit you best, so you can attend classes without disrupting your other commitments.

Once you have completed your registration, you will have the ability to customize your training program according to your needs and availability. Whether you want to fully immerse yourself in sailing for a continuous period or attend classes at a more relaxed pace, the Sailing Academy  is here to provide you with the ultimate training experience, tailored to your own time.

The course covers the following theoretical & practical parts.

THEORY

• Terminology – parts of a sailing boat
• Aerodynamic – trimming of sails
• International Regulations of Avoiding Collisions at Sea
• Moorings – Anchoring
• Navigation – Maps
• Comunnication – Emergencies – Security at Sea – Meteorology

PRACTICE

• Learning the sailing boat outdoor – interior – rigging
• Handling the sailing boat upwind – downwind – reach
• Trimming the sailing boat upwind – downwind – reach
• Reef – reduse sail area
• Course with compass
• Moorings in bay / in port – anchoring
• Approaching with the side
• Man Over Board
• Knots
• Using instruments of the sailing boat
• Plot a course
• Using VHF
• Using rescue equipment

• Ability to swim
• You should be older than 18 years old
  
• Documents required: 2 x colored digital photos of official type; copy of your passport or ID card; health certificate from the doctor (for the Sailing Federation Athlete card); filled registration formes of North Aegean Sailing Club

Upon comleting a program and passing the examination successfully, you will become a holder of skipper license for sailboats up to 24m, internationally recongized, without miles limitation.

Skipper

Your registration for the Sailing Academy  costs only 30 euros, which covers your enrollment in the sailing school. After registration, you have the option to pay per lesson you attend, allowing you to manage the cost according to your needs and preferences.  At the end of your training, you’ll need to pay the fees for the examination required to obtain your sailing license, ensuring the completion of the program and your official certification. Alternatively, you can choose to pay the full amount upfront.
