The Beginner Open Sea School is a fast-track sailing program for those who want to earn a sailing license through hands-on training and practical sea experience. This six-day course offers intensive instruction on both monohull sailboats and modern catamarans, combining open sea sessions with guided learning from certified instructors.
Running from Saturday, September 27 to Thursday, October 2, the program is designed for complete beginners aiming to build solid foundations, gain confidence at sea, and prepare for real-world sailing situations. Training takes place daily on board, in real-time conditions, with a focus on seamanship, safety, and decision-making.
Participants are active from day one, taking part in every aspect of sailing. Each session covers essential skills, procedures, and teamwork. The course concludes with official examinations for a sailing license. Participants may choose between a NASC (North Aegean Sailing Club) or ISSA (International Sailing Schools Association) certification, based on their future sailing goals.

Location: Volos, Greece
Accommodation: Onboard modern catamarans and monohull sailboats
At the end of the course, participants have the option to join a sail-out passage to Keramoti, adding extra miles and hands-on practice to their experience.
No prior knowledge is required. The course is open to individuals and small groups, with instruction available in both English and Greek.

N.A.S.C License
The Open Sea Sailing School offers the opportunity to earn an internationally recognized sailing license by N.A.S.C (North Aegean Sailing Club).This certification is valid globally without mile limitations for sailing vessels up to 24 meters in length. It is issued by the North Aegean Sailing Club, a member of the Hellenic Sailing Federation and World of Sailing
ISSA Licence
The Open Sea Sailing School offers the opportunity to earn an internationally recognized sailing license by ISSA (International Sailing Schools Association). This certification provides global recognition of your sailing skills, opening doors to sail in various locations around the world. Participants will gain hands-on experience under real sea conditions, ensuring they develop the practical skills necessary to successfully obtain their ISSA license.
